Social Distancing Part One

Since I am stuck 12000 miles from home, with only daily walks and bike rides to keep me sane, I have decided to create this blog and add a daily photo. The former Derbyshire coalfield is a long way from my home in the beautiful Hawke's Bay area of New Zealand, but it's industrial heritage does provide some great walks and rides. Here, the Chesterfield Canal at Brimington.

 The last few days has been a bit hectic, but here we are back in Havelock North and back to my usual exercise regime of cycle 3.4 kilometres from home to the car park, then walk various trails. here looking out towards Mount Erin with Mount Kahuranaki just visible over the ridge to the left.
